Mystic Mel’s Predictions

I am commencing 2012 with the madness of the full moon. For this I begin with……

Mystic Mel’s Predictions; a series of wild guesses as to what the future holds. In 13 moon’s time, I can look back and see just how wrong I was. So, ta-dah (deftly removes wafty curtain), here they are.

For the UK:

1) HOUSING Shanty towns will begin to appear in England (and I don’t mean the Occupy sites).

2) EDUCATION Free Schools and academies will not succeed as a sticking plaster for the deep wounds of a failing education system.

3) SOCIETY Population and children in care will increase, while adoption and fostering will decrease.

4) ECO-NOMICS Environmental concerns will remain severed from their economic counterparts, as Osborne et al invariably miss the point.

5) THE UNEXPECTED A mystery guest

and for the rest of the world:

1) PEOPLE POWER The Occupy movement will diversify

2) BIODIVERSITY Extinction rates, ooh guess what, will continue to increase alarmingly.

3) EQUALITY The global digital divide will divide some more.

4) ECO-NOMY China will further it’s commitment to going green.

5) THE UNEXPECTED The end of the world may be just the beginning.
